The weather forecast predicted 60% precipitation for Kathleen and Steve’s wedding in Rutherford, CA. I packed my Wellies and see-through umbrellas in anticipation for a wet day, and even asked the bride to purchase some cute rain boots “just in case”. As I drove from Sacramento to Napa on Thursday morning, the rain poured. But as I made my way up the hill to the Auberge du Soleil wedding venue, the rain began to let up. And as soon as Kathleen put on her gorgeous wedding gown, the sun began to peek through the clouds. I was thanking my lucky stars… A “rain-free” wedding day! Yes!!

Rain-boots and wedding shoes… So glad we didn’t need the rain-boots.

Kathleen’s gorgeous gown. She purchased it at Sacramento’s La Soie Bridal bridal gallery in the Town and Country Village.

Kathleen’s sister, Janet, helping her get ready.

Her friends were so fun! They brought such great energy to the room.

Kathleen and Steve decided to do a “first look”. Always great emotion in these photos… Love it!

On to the bride and groom portraits. There was so much opportunity at the venue. It was hard to decide where to start.

We finally found this awesome spot. I was in love!

So many favorites, but I think this one is my most favorite! So cute!!

Ceremony time! Kathleen and Steve have a love for cycling. They wove a bicycle theme throughout their wedding including there invitations. Steve actually had bicycle cufflinks. Neat!

I’d never seen a “ribbon ceremony”, but it was so special. Honored guests each placed a ribbon on the couples hands with a prayer. Very unique!

The kiss!

Married!

A few moments of privacy before the family photos.

After the family photos, we took a golf cart down to the statue garden. It was unbelievable!! The most amazing and unique pieces I have ever seen! It was almost overwhelming to choose where to take their photos.

On to the reception… More bicycles!

The cake was beautiful!

Steve and Kathleen performed a choreographed First Dance. Always a hit!

Great toasts!

A quite hug between Kathleen and her Dad.

Yum… it’s cake time!

The rings… and more bicycles!

One last image of the “Hunnies”!

Kathleen and Steve, It was such a wonderful wedding day. I feel so honored to have been there to document it. Hope you’re having fun on your honeymoon! ~XOXO, Wendy
